The Hammond Kitchen Craft - Camas

Okay so I came to Hammond because it was a recommendation by a friend. I found the menu left a lot be desired. Nothing sounded like something I would want to order. It’s a little overpriced for the quality we received. I ordered a fennel sausage pizza and it was not bad I would give it a 4 out of five BUT I ordered arugula (extra 5$ on top and as you can see on the picture it was just spinach NOT arugula arugula would have been so much better with that pizza. I should have sent it back but I didn’t. The service was good. Our waitress Cassie was the only good thing about this restaurant. I would probably not go back again unless they got a new menu or chef.

First time here! Shari in the bar was fantastic! She welcomed me told me the specials for the day And told meis out other great menu items. She was very friendly And you could tell she really loved her job. She went out of her way to make me feel so welcome. I will definitely be back, And I hope Sheri Is my waitress! The food was good just not great, I will try something different next time.

Great spot delicious food everything we had was top notch. We got appetizers but tore into them so fast I forgot to take pictures.

WOW! I do not like breakfast food, but I ended up here for brunch with my mother a couple of weeks ago because I wanted to take her somewhere nice and fancy. This place met and exceeded my expectations! They have a creative menu, not too large but with a good amount of variety. There are several things that I would love to try on future visits, but I ended up choosing their chicken and waffles. Let me tell you, those were the tastiest waffles I've ever had. And the chicken? Complimented those carbs fantastically. I'm not a syrup fan, but what they had was nice and fresh. Overall the restaurant was clean but the booth where I was seated was a bit dingy, I accidentally sat on something sticky. However, that's my only, very minor, complaint. The service was awesome, our waitress kept checking back on us and providing us with our food quickly. She answered any questions we had about the menu and gave recommendations. This is one of the best local restaurant experiences I have ever had. Would highly recommend.

I barely ever write reviews, but I’m still thinking about my experience, and felt like I needed to mention something, about my experience I had at this place. My father and I went there last night for my birthday dinner. We both had never been their before, and it was a place we were both looking forward to. My birthday dinner with my father is something I look forward to every year. First, it didn’t seem like whomever paid attention to any of my resy preferences? I asked for a nice booth that was quiet, since I was with my elderly father thats hard of hearing. It was my special birthday dinner and we were put in a small booth, next to an 8 top. Second, our sever young blonde, with black glasses) was super impersonal, and rushed us through our menu options. My father is hard of hearing and she spoke incredibly fast and low, so my father couldn’t hear her, and didn’t explain the options. We had to ask several follow up questions, and grab her attention every time. She was incredibly invasive with the questions she asked. For example when I asked for the gravy on the side, she kept asking why I didn’t like gravy, and when I said it’s not my preference, she kept asking me why I didn’t like gravy over and over again? To the point my father thought it was weird and nosy. I just kept replying “oh just reasons.” When someone has a history of disordered eating and someone keeps asking, this can be very upsetting. Third. The prices for the food, esp for the quality of food, seemed very expensive. The food was just okay, my chicken didn’t really have any flavor and it was dry. For being a nicer restaurant, at the price point, they really don’t do anything for my birthday or special occasions. The dessert menu seemed small and a let down. I was looking for a special night, or at least good food, or good service, and the whole evening was expensive, and disappointing. I feel the most disappointed part of this, was the service and our server. I’ve contacted the Hammond about this experience as well, but I do not see returning in the future.
