Saffron Desi - Calvià

Absolutely brilliant curries, coming from Yorkshire I had high expectations and they beat them! Definitely worth it!

We ate here last night,and the food was amazing. Delicious mushroom biriyani. Be warned-they are huge portions! I could only eat about a third (it was 35* but it was a monster size serving!! Huge fresh onion bhaji . Sizzling tandoori chicken tikka with peppers and onions. Naan breads fresh and tasty. Curry sauces were lovely. Very reasonable prices too.

The food itself wasn’t that bad. Most of it was okay, but nothing special. The restaurant is really boring, felt like I was sat on the street. The staff was really rude (brought over boiled rice, we said sorry we didn’t order boiled rice, we have all our food, that’s not ours. He then gets quite loud telling us someone at the table MUST have ordered it, because he wouldn’t have been sent out with it for no reason etc. we were confused and said, no I’m sorry, we really haven’t ordered it, just check the ticket, he looked at the ticket, then looks at us takes the rice to a different table.. no apology) … to be honest, the food wasn’t 100%, the staff being rude the restaurant being a few tables outside.. doesn’t give me any reason to return.
