Officina At The Wharf - Calumet-Norvelt

We ate outside as the noise level is so high people had to shout across the tables. Fortunately the weather was fine but we would never got here in the winter or in bad weather. The staff were terrific, very attentive and the food excellent. Such a shame about the noise level. It literally hurt it was so loud!

Outstanding Overall ! Great dining experience. Flavors were outstanding. Looking forward to returning.

We were a part of five with one fussy member of the party who was a former food magazine editor. The food was excellent, arriving as expected and shared among the group. The issue we experienced was there were no serving utensils that came with the food and the servers were busy, making it hard to get their attention to make the request for serving implements. All of the courses through the entrees were delicious , the desserts, however, were not. Our selections were meh with the cannolis still bearing the chill from the refrigerator. Overall the experience was very good, with a little more attention to service, it could have been exceptional .

We had a mostly wonderful experience on the enclosed balcony. The food was scrumptious and the ambiance was pleasing for the most part. The acoustics were easily overwhelmed by one or two loudmouths making conversation impossible. The view was great except the lights at the fish market are blinding for anyone facing them. Later in the evening, it got quite chilly and our waitress said there was no heating until I pointed it out to her. She never did turn it on so we cut our night short. Maybe just padded chairs would help the sound issue.
