I’ve been coming to jaleo for over 20 years now. Just like the owner the food also lost quality. Still a good place to hang out but not really anything amazing. Average Spanish food for the price. You have to try Jose Andre’s new restaurants those are doing better when it comes to flavor and atmosphere. Bar tenders and servers are the best. Atmosphere at the DC location getting better but nothing spectacular. Good for a happy hour. Parking: Busy location it’s china town and if there is a concert at the capital one arena forget about it. Also most garages lose at midnight be careful.

We were visiting DC and we had planned a special dinner with my parents who were visiting from Spain. We made a reservation but when we arrived we had to wait more than 15 minutes. When we were finally seated we were located in an area with no AC (there were more that 100 Fh outside). We asked for a new table, but we were told we would need to wait 40-60 minutes. We had to leave without eating. As Spaniards who leave in the USA this was a special celebration for our family. Unfortunately it was ruined when they offered a table that was not in good condition and should have never been open.

It was my first time at Jaleo. Food was delicious, but one thing that really stood out was my server Gabriel. He was extremely attentive, made great recommendations, and his hospitality was so genuine! GM also touched the table making sure everything was well. Thank you for your amazing service.

Good Spanish food, and fantastic atmosphere, in the heart of DC.
