Hawk 'n ' Dove In Wash

Love the food better than bar food . Quality of Crab cakes was as good as any 5 star restaurant! Fun vibe. Could have used more wait staff and bartenders, but those that were there gave excellent service. Great upstairs bar space for groups to watch anything together on TV.

Food was quite good--burgers especially--but service was rather slow. The restaurant seemed somewhat understaffed, which in retrospect probably relates to the holiday period. Even with the restaurant half-full, it wasn't easy to carry on conversations due to the noise level. But we enjoyed our lunch. I had not been there for many years, so it was a pleasure to see that the Hawk still exists!

Thank you hawk n dove and open table for communicating and notifying costumers of a private party taking place the same night we made the reservation. We walked in at our agreed time and oh surprise, we were turned away. Unacceptable!

For any that remember the old Hawk n' Dove with its seedy appearance and aroma of stale beer, the wonderful ambiance of the remodeled restaurant never fails to please. Groups are definitely welcome, and the menu is wide and varied enough that most will be able to find something appealing. Too, the prices are reasonable, so the Hawk n' Dove is well worth a spot on the lunchtime rotation.

Our waiter was good and friendly (not to mention, cute! . The noise was so loud I'd definitely pick this place for drinks instead of dinner. That being said, the chicken sandwich was so-so, the fries were good, overall not bad for the price. However, their sodas are limited to Pepsi Sierra Mist Root Beer, so if you're not doing alcohol I'd go elsewhere.
