Have been going to CW for more than 30 years. I mainly go there for wine. The staff is great and experienced. They work with customers to answer any questions they may have and their recommendation, based on quality of wine and price range is great. They also have variety of wines and prices which makes it appealing to all kinds of wine lovers. In addition, management/owner treats employees well and during COVID, I got an email that the store was closing (and unlike other companies) employees were getting paid. I was so happy to hear it. I forwarded CW's email to friends and asked them to shop at CW after they open, just for the treatment of CW employees during COVID.

Love this shop for service, quality products, great selection, and institutional knowledge. Never precious or snooty. Love, love, love CW.

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Amos who is currently employed at Calvert Woodley Fine Wines Spirits. Amos provides excellent customer service with his polite and patient demeanor. He excels at matching a client’s budget with a choice of wine and champagne appropriate to the occasion. My daughter, Airlie, and her husband, Nicholas, from Chamonix, France, as well as her mother-in-law, were extremely impressed with his knowledge of champagne from the region, while still offering competitive price ranges. Hands down, Amos is my go-to person for a variety of social occasions!
