Agriturismo Le Zarafe - CALTABELLOTTA

My family of four stayed with owner Loretta and her family at LeZarafe in July 2017. We were warmly welcomed and treated to delicious homemade foods fresh from the farm. The accommodations were most pleasant and comfortable. We were given excellent advice on local beaches, day trips and directions. I wished we could have stayed longer to more fully enjoy the relaxing pool and abundant sunshine. I highly recommend a visit to Caltabellotta and Agritourismo Le Zarafe.

Wow!! What a place. It is owned by a family and run by the brother and sister. It is lovely to see how they work together and how family orientated it is. Not all the family spoke English and our Italian is limited but they were friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool was well maintained and clean as was the pool area. But the best thing about this place was the food. All home cooked and prepared using local produce and produce off the farm it was the best we had all holiday. Lots of traditional Sicilian dishes were included as well. We travelled around Sicily and stayed in some lovely places but this definitely stood out for the whole experience!! Thank you for such a lovely, pleasant stay!

Siblings Loreta and Paolo welcomed us warmly, gave us fine rooms and water, and asked the four of us if we wanted to dine in. If this happens, say YES. With the exception of the white wine, all four courses plus the bread and the red were made from their produce. From entrees/amuse bouche through antipasto, primi piatti (pasta), and the main course (second) of pork with a vegetarian dish for the non carnivore. Sides of vegetables were simple and flavoursome, and the dessert was perfect. By the way if you have breakfast there, leave some space; it's serious and wonderful, but large. These are wonderful people and we felt privileged to stay there; eat at their home and meet their family. Exceptional value for money.

In search of a characteristic place to dine we were inexorably attracted by this farm. from the moment of booking we realized that it was the right choice. welcome upon arrival with the utmost courtesy. outdoor sitting under a magnificent pergola we laid out the homemade kitchen served with the utmost sympathy and courtesy. fixed menu with reasonable portions that allowed us to appreciate all courses. congratulations to the whole family and especially to carola.
