Contribuiți la feedbackAs usual, I review what I experienced, as I did not the pools, bumper boats or did I golf, I will not comment there. I rented a “suite” here as a crashpad, while we visited a concert near. I therefore understand that the cost was somewhat higher, as the reasonableness I chose not to use, but my assessment is not based on the cost of this extras, but first impressions and total costs. tired. that is the best word to sum it up. yellow walls, thread-shaped carpets, walls that weep for the color, give everyone the impression of a once huge establishment has spoiled and worn in today's world. As mentioned earlier, I attended a event close to the hotel and was so hopeful to use the shuttle. a dozen try to reach the reception by phone to book it, everything failed. they just didn't pick up the phone. So at the arrival I asked about the shuttle and of course it was booked. I then asked my inability to connect and they said they were too busy. too busy to talk to guests? to buy for customer service? that sets the stage for our stay. room, bed, in a single, unpleasant smelling hotel without ordinary conveniences, no safe, no drinking water, no extra cover or kissing, no room service, no ice bucket, just nothing. they find another place when they sleep a good night to be reasonable, at least in my opinion.
We have a timeshare on week 26 and look forward all year to spending our favorite week there with our family, and friends who have become family. The people, staff, activities all help to make for a great vacation.
The Villa Roma is an old Conference center turned into a time share. We use our points from another company to book a week here, , and it wasn't what we expected. There look to be some nice condo units as part of the resort but that's not were we stayed. We stayed in the converted hotel portion of the resort. Our room was OK. Other times shares are significantly better appointed. They claimed to have a full kitchen among other amenities, No cutting boards, knifes, kitchen utensils other than a single spatula, one pot, one sauce pan, and one small frying pan. The oven was a microwave convection oven. Our room lacked a coffee table, and had a small dining room table with four chairs. The room was clean but everything had seen better days. the most amusing part of the stay to us was how far away we were from everything. Our room was at the farthest end of the resort and was a good five minute walk to the lobby. The pool area was nice, with a bar and a restaurant. One of the pools was closed mid week due to a lack of staff, and the spa only had two working jets. The one thing the pool/pick nick area was lacking was grills. Lots of playgrounds for kids and other family friendly amenities. They had activities scheduled every day so if you wanted something to do they provided something for you. We did eat at one of their onsite cafe and it was not good. The food was bland, and took a long time. Again, the lack of staff was showing here. the wait staff was also helping out in the kitchen. We would have tried the main dinning room at least once but it required reservations and pre payment or a room charge. They wanted an unreasonable hold on a credit card for room charges so that didn't happen. Note that the walls are fairly thin and if the room next to yours has small kids you will hear them. If you go, the place is old, but it is family friendly. We found the staff to be helpful and very friendly. Just note that the pictures on the Villa Roma website are 10 years old as of 2022, and it looks like limited maintenance has been done in those 10 years.
The smell of mold in every single building is absolutely disgusting. I am highly allergic to mold had to double my allergy medicine due to my throat closing. I asked the staff for Lysol, they had none, had to drive 40 mins to a store to get some. The front staff was not very good with changing rooms or making accommodations as the manager was out the days I was there apparently and no one else was allowed to make a decision. Decided to stay out side the buildings as much as possible. The concept to this place is great but still stuck in the 90’s and needs a ton of money in updating !! Which I hope they do because it is a great concept for large families with children
We booked a room at this hotel for the weekend of our daughter’s sleepaway camp visiting day since it’s 25 min away and everything closer was booked. Our room was dirty, musty, and in desperate need of a renovation. Appeared to be at least 30 years old. Huge hole in the bathroom wall. Dirty carpet. Smelled bad and felt claustrophobic. The 2 beds were tiny, hard and the bedding also falling apart. Was scared to even lay down in them. Woke up the next morning, packed and forfeited our next night stay. Cannot believe we spent close to $800 for this. Never again.
