Palo Santo - Callejón de los Chivos

Inside the Walled City....decent place-nice folks-but are sucking wind. My wife and I were the only customer for 2 hours...and my reservation came with a 30% off from Fork. They didn’t have my Grilled Octopus...so we opted for the Breaded Mariscos (with coconut) as an...appetizer....only fair. Our entree was the Mar y Tierra Caribe which was equally unflattering. My wife liked it...but her standards have also been low-hence me. No desserts....hey, they called us a cab.

Went there with our tour group of 13 and most of us chose the ala carte menu which was pretty filling. I chose the beef in Cartagena style which included coconut rice and plantain with salad. Atmosphere : has a nice ambience with good music....Wasn't too noisy and we could hear ourselves talk unlike some other busy places. Food : was tasty and filling. The cost with services was around 50000 pesos per person with drinks and tips, so bit more expensive than some other Colombian places. They also allowed separate billing. Overall a decent Colombian place to try if you are in Cartagena.

Great service and good food. Authentic Colombian atmosphere. The owner Mauricio is very nice and super helpful. Definitely worth coming back.

Our tour guide took us there for our good bye dinner . The food was absolutely horrible. Bad quality bad cooking . The fish was a grey looking color , overcooked, it looked old . . The rice had a bad taste , the...desert was slimy . The chicken was dry over cooked, tasteless . The pork was mostly fat also overcooked . The plantain chips were dry old the dip was tasteless. I think they had the food cooked reheated . In 2 weeks in Colombia every place we ate was great , this was such a disappointment. The live music was very good .

I have been coming to this restaurant for ten years. The food never disappoints!!! If you come to the city look for Tatiana and she will take great care of you... I highly recommend any of the meat and definitely the coconut pie for desert...
