I was disappointed to learn that they don’t prepare anything fresh; everything is pre-packaged. I'm relieved I chose not to eat here—this was quite off-putting.
The fish and chips were overcooked and tasted like they came from the frozen section of the grocery store. The prices were also quite high. I wouldn't recommend this place.
The food we had was incredible. The pulled pork was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly.
The prices were reasonable. The food was dry and tasteless. Service wasn't so great.
Oh man, talk about charging for everything! First we walked in and we sat right down expected that there may be some wait service but the person behind the counter just looked at us as if waiting for something, and so I asked a question, do we order here? where I was sitting, or do we come up there? and she said, no you come up here and you order off the menu above me . I wanted an omelette and I read the menu and it was $7 for the omelette but as I continued reading I saw that it said just below the price for The Omelette the word extras and for example onions were $1.50, sausage was a $1.50, ham was a $1.50 red peppers were a $1.50. so the $7 turned out to be $14 and then she asked me if I would like either hash browns or toast? and that caught me by surprise because usually you get toast with your breakfast but I chose hash browns because to add toast would have been an additional $3.00. so in my opinion very pricey and as far as the restaurant goes it was clean but your typical hole in the wall breakfast place nothing fancy at all. On a side note though, I have noticed in towns that for some reason or another become a tourist destination that the prices of everything Rises substantially because of the tourism and that greatly affects the local population especially in a town like Calistoga that has to drive some distance to a non tourist town to purchase groceries and other Goods. The point I wish to make is that, local people, before you decide to let your hometown get overrun by the wine elites keep in mind the effect it 'll have on everyone else in your town. I have taken into account the jobs and additional money the industry brings in but not every resident owns a boutique or B &B...most do not, and it is those I am referring to.
