Peng's Pavilion - Calhoun

Food is not that great to me. Place is always packed though.

I love this place. The owner is always so nice to us, I’ve ate here literally 100 times. Never had cold food, a long wait or bad service. I’ve been to bigger more corporate places but never anywhere that tries as hard as these folks do. I’m a lifer here.

This was my first visit. The food was good, not great, but above average. Just judging by the food alone I would eat there again. The surprising thing was, I went in to get a to go order and placed my order for a lunch item. It comes with fried rice, egg roll and soup. When they brought my order out it did not have soup. When I ask about it she said to go orders do not have soup, the containers were too high. I said I understand that but did you reduce the price of the to go orders because they did not come with soup and she said of course not. I ask if she thought that was fair and she said that is what you would pay for a hamburger. Odd reply.

Love that you feel like you got a mini buffet at your table when you go here. Delicious food.

I have enjoyed Peng's for many years. My favorite is still the mongolian beef and hot and sour soup. always a treat to eat here
