Rooster's Grille Pizzaria - Calhan

Sweet little restaurant where the tee is freshly brewed, pizza crust is excellent and service was friendly.

We were in Calhan for a band concert and stopped into Rooster's for a quick dinner beforehand. We had excellent burgers. They were real burgers with juicy beef, crisp lettuce, drippy fixins. I kinda want to drive back down there just to have another. We had the sweet potato fries. Our waitress brought us a side of honey to dip the fries. YUM! The service was great as well. Sasha went the extra mile.

We stopped at “Roosters” mid afternoon on our way back from visiting the Paint Mines. After a friendly greeting we were shown to the recently added dining room away from the bar. Because we were especially hungry and it was my birthday, we ordered steaks. Not only was the sirloin the tastiest, tender and perfectly cooked, but the salad that came with the meal was fresh, filled with chef salad ingredients and topped with a choice of homemade dressings. The French fries cut daily were delicious! Then came the special treat a complimentary dessert to celebrate my birthday.

Service was great. We found a table right away ordered and got our food in no time. The sandwiches were so big neither of us could finish them. The Patty Melt was a little dry but I did order it well done.

Great pizza. Great service. It was packed at lunch with one waitress. She did a great job handling everything. The kitchen got my food out in a timely manner too! Will definitely be back!
