Tres Marias ​Mexican Food​ Market

This is a great place to purchase some genuine Mexican spices. It's another good reason to stop by Marda Loop. They also sell Mexican chocolate and offer ready-made salsas and other popular dishes.

I recently moved to Calgary and have been missing the good Mexican food from my home in Southern California. After trying out several recommended restaurants in Calgary, I was disappointed until I found Tres Marias. This family-owned restaurant offers authentic Mexican cuisine that really hits the spot. I tried the Tacos al Pastor with black beans and rice, and they were delicious. The tacos were filled generously with pork and pineapple and came with guacamole salsa on the side. The beans were perfectly seasoned and the rice even had bits of vegetables in it. The restaurant also offers a variety of Latin favorites like salsas and tamales. The service was friendly and efficient, and there's free parking available. If you're craving some good south of the border food, I highly recommend checking out Tres Marias.

This Mexican restaurant is a small spot where you can either buy food to go or sit down to eat. My personal favorite is the tortilla soup. If you're looking for delicious, traditional Mexican food that isn't trying to be trendy, this is the perfect place for you.

This small but colorful decor offers authentic Mexican cuisine with local organic and natural ingredients. It is mainly a market, but has a small restaurant area with a short but interesting menu. We visited an early dinner and enjoyed the Tacos Carne Asada and...Tacos All Pastor.

This is one of my favourite neighbourhood shops/restaurants. Great selection of yummy fresh frozen Mexican foods (plus foods from other local providers). I always pick up the homemade tortilla chips fresh salsas. They have expanded the seating area since I lasted visited Calgary... the tortilla soup and tostadas are as great as I remember.
