Spice Cafe and Lounge - Calgary

Discovered by a complete fluke - a PERFECT spot for different type of dining! Different is a bit spicy, if you don't mind a kick. Their menues are modified and the customer can actually have a say in what level of hotness they can handle, which won our hearts! The soup servings are huge, ended up with a hefty take-out, which was actually awesome! Fun, hip and modern atmosphere, great servers! Can not wait to visit again, and we are not people who go back to the same place! CHECK IT OUT, WORLD!

I went to order their Malaysian Pad Thai for take-out. It was shortly after 11 am and there were exactly 4 people in the whole restaurant. It took the cooks nearly 20 minutes to get my order. I waited 20 mins for a simple stir-fry! It tasted not great. Their version is not flavourful like the Thai Pad Thai's. AND, it cost $17.50 for lunch! I will not go back. Don't waste your time here.

Love, love, love their Malaysian curry on rice. Right amount of spice to give that kick. They have raised the prices from when I first started coming here but good Malaysian food is hard to find in this city. Until then, it's a good spot for lunch!

Best Laksa in the city!. Whenever I'm feeling sick or just need some delicious soup to warm my tummy this is the place I go to.
