Contribuiți la feedbackWe had lunch in this café and were completely unsatisfactory. My lunch was so fat that I had to wipe my hands after every bite. My tuna melt was very bland. My lemonade was so watered that it hardly tasted like lemonades. My friends lunch was... not good either. When we talked to the owner, we were rated for complaints. He didn't hurt us. I calculated the full amount for our lunch. He used the usual sentence. Nobody ever complained! We will not return and recommend NOT this restaurant
A unique hometown restaurant in Calgary with beautiful city views. Unfortunately, the kitchen does not live up to the setting. The menu is limited and should offer more refined options. The vegetarian lasagna was dry and baked in a small smoker, with veggies that were grilled (overcooked) before being added to the dish. The tiny side of bread was also grilled (burnt). There was no salad offered as a side dish, making it a lackluster meal. The lemonade was essentially water with a slice of lemon. My friend's tuna melt was greasy and overwhelming. The manager did not offer any compensation and claimed to have never received complaints before. I remember having a great lunch in this area years ago, but unfortunately, today's experience did not live up to my expectations.
Had a reservation for 1 o'clock for lunch. A bit early, but they gave us a table and then completely ignored us for the next 25 minutes no menus or water even until we jumped on them. The tables were cleaned and cleaned, and we were set back and nobody was still harassed to check with us. We wanted to go and finally got their attention and then there were excuses everywhere basically too late for it. I've eaten here before and I have to say that if this is the new normality, it was totally disappointing. At least they should have forced our drink to add and be ignored. On another note, the food was good.
We went to this café just before it closed for the season. Great location and wonderful friendly staff. The food was very good. My only complaint was when I saw in the kitchen from our table that the 2 ladies cooking was not a mask or face sign of any kind. Covid rules obviously do not apply to them, I guess.
I love finding good places to eat and showing off to friends. Reader's Rock Garden Cafe was this place. I took my European friend for coffee but ended up having lunch. My Chicken Mushroom Ragout was absolutely fantastic we ended with Austrian Apple Strudel,...what a delight. Thank you so much!
