Original Joe's Restaurant Bar - Calgary

1/5 seems to be generous, but it's as low as Google would allow me to rate this place. This restaurant has apparently lost a lot of its good chefs, according to the waiter I complained to about our meals. This OJs still charges full price (which has seen a fair share of increases) for mediocre food. I don't see the owner responding to a lot of 1/5 star ratings, but all the 5/5 stars, the owner seems to get around to responding. After routinely eating at OJs before, I will not be going back and recommending everyone I know to do the same. The restaurant was clearly unorganized and inexperienced with little to no training provided to staff. That falls upon management, which then falls upon ownership. Unbelievable.

Have a working lunch with clients, tried the limted time menu watermelon and feta salad with shrimp. The dish is excellent and highly recommend to try.

Staff were great, and friendly, but the food was meh. Everyone had at least one issue with their meal. I had the Burrito bowl and it would have been good, but the rice was clearly left sitting in the cooking device they use, it was dry in spots and crunchy in others, not great.

Used skip the dishes. Ordered 2 orders of fish and chips, dry ribs, and bruschetta Chicken Fettuccine. The food was burned to a crisp. Phoned the restaurant and was told that they have a lot of new kitchen staff that aren 't doing very well. Sorry but skip the dishes has to handle a refund nothing they can do. Perhaps they should have separate new staff who aren 't doing well pricing on the menu we paid full menu price. Skip refunded less than half of the cost as they said they are not ultimately responsible for the food. Sorry but the staff issue and garbage food out of their kitchen is O.J. 's problem, not the customers. Sorry O.J. 's but you lost a customer. I will however let everyone I know about my experience. This is what an $80 order of food looks like. Apparently this is acceptable quality to the kitchen staff at Original Joes.

Went here for the first time after going to the gym near by and always seeing the commercials in the theatres. The food was quite yummy and the price was decent although I would say that the service was kind of meh and thought being able to sit anywhere is not bad when it’s a smaller location and not so busy otherwise it’s not a good practice.Would go back for sure
