Nha Trang - Calgary

One of my favorite places! The atmosphere is fantastic, it's clean, and the prices are great! The food is always delicious, and the portions are generous! I highly recommend it!

I had an amazing dining experience at Nha Trang. The food was outstanding, featuring the best satay I've enjoyed in years. The broth was full of flavor, and the portion sizes were quite generous for the price. Even though the restaurant was a bit quiet during my visit, the ambiance felt warm and welcoming. The service was excellent too; our water glasses and teapot were always filled.

I really didn't want to give just one star. The flavors were good, but I think I found beef in my vegetarian bowl. I tried one of those black pieces, and it definitely didn't taste like anything vegetable-related.

I used to dine at this restaurant a few years ago but stopped frequenting it because the food was pretty average compared to the fantastic pho options in Calgary. I decided to give it another shot tonight, and unfortunately, it turned out to be the lowest quality meal and the worst service I've encountered in years. The spring rolls were undercooked and, even after I sent them back, had a texture like pâté in the center. The pho was cloudy and lacked any flavor. The service took a ridiculous two hours from start to finish, even on a Wednesday. I really regret going back.

The food is decent. I appreciate that it's conveniently located in a residential neighborhood, but if you arrive at 7:30, be prepared to be rushed out quickly. I ended up getting my pho to-go. Unfortunately, they don't fill the container completely with broth, so there wasn't enough to fully cover the noodles. It turned out to be just okay, tasting like diluted canned beef broth. My dad had mentioned that he didn't think the food was very good here, and I should have taken his advice.
