Montana's - Calgary

The server was nice. Food was just ordinary. Cozy place to stay. Steak was tough but ribs was awesome.

Very friendly staff. Clean, quiet booths and quick service. Food was better than expected for a chain, love that I can still draw on the tables too while I wait.

We went on a Sunday at 1:30pm for lunch and were informed that should we want to order ribs, it would be an hour wait as they were “still getting ready for the day”. What? You have them on your menu and you open at 11am, shouldn’t they be ready then? Two of my girls had wanted ribs. Next we ordered some 7-up, which was just carbonated water, though the waitress did fix that problem once we told her. Finally, “just a warning”, no cookies available for the kids dessert. So…no ribs, flavourless pop and no cookies. Lame. Plus the food was fatty and flavourless. When the fries are the best part of your meal there’s a problem. Not worth the money.

The staff at this restaurant was fantastic, but unfortunately, the ribs were very dry. We ordered the all-you-can-eat option, but the ribs were disappointing each time. We showed the waitress our issue, and she kept apologizing, poor girl. We reassured her that it wasn’t her fault. Despite switching our plates three times, the ribs remained dry. We ended up deciding to pay her a tip of $10 to show our appreciation for her efforts.
