Lonely Mouth - Calgary

Wow seriously wow. This is my new favourite restaurant in Calgary! What an incredible experience the ambiance, the cozy seats where every single table is a good table, the hot towel for your hands when you first sit at the table??!! I felt like a million bucks. The food was fabulous, we ordered everything the server recommended and were so impressed. The sake menu is great and was explained perfectly for an amateur like me. Can’t wait to go back!

The dining experience fell short of expectations despite glowing reviews. While the agedashi tofu stood out positively, the overall food quality was mediocre, especially considering the prices. The miso cod felt overpriced, lacking a substantial side dish besides a basic salad. The drinks were underwhelming. The most disappointing aspect was the dessert (matcha cheesecake), which seemed like a basic mixture of matcha powder and cream cheese, topped with scanty strawberry slices and crumble. Despite our initial enthusiasm, we left feeling disheartened by the overall experience.

Loved it. Had a couple of glasses of excellent saki and a couple plates of sashimi.Great experience.

Vibe and atmosphereBento Box offers a delightful dining experience with inviting ambiance and flavorful dishes. The sweet cheesecake with salted caramel and cashew was heavenly, complemented by the delicious tuna tartare. The Okinawa Nights cocktail was a surprising delight. Kudos to the attentive staff and the enjoyable playlist curated by Roger Waters ?

One of the best overall dining experiences we have had in Calgary.Hot towel on arrival an amazing touch. Service was exceptional. Place ran like a well oiled machine. Food was delicious. We ordered several items and all were top notch. Could tell they deliberately brought out cold items first, followed by hot items, which was nice attention to detail. Great atmosphere. Felt nice but not pretentious. Highly recommend.
