Contribuiți la feedbackService sucked, when I was at the bar the waitress stole $10 from me and argued that I gave her a ten. I explained that the machine only gave me $20 and she yelled and said that if I'm calling her a layer then I can get the hell out. So I chugged my beer and left and haven't been back since. The food was ok, nothing special. There is a way better bar down the street.
More commonly know as the 'Bo-Ho, ' Hexters has transformed itself from a once quite dingy dive bar, to an exceptional local pub and sports bar. From the outside, Hexters doesn 't look like much, but on the inside you are blown away! They have a little something for everyone. For the sports fan they have giant big screen TV 's to watch all the sports games; for the pool junkies they have a couple of coin-operated tables; and for the VLT lovers they have a whole wall dedicated to you. See? Something for everyone. The food is quite good, and pretty quick, I might add. They 've got some killer deals like 25 cent wings or 'buck-a-bone ' ribs, as well as drink specials on different nights. Thursday is good old karaoke and Friday and Saturday night house live music. They 've even got blues jams on the weekends. The people and service at Hexters are top quality. Considering the area and the general crowd, I 've never experienced anything too hectic at this place. Aside from the occasional rowdy bunch, it 's usually pretty tame and offers a good time. Hexters is a great pub for whatever you 're in the mood for. It 's no longer that grungy place for creepers and peepers, but more of a socially acceptable pub now!
The bartender was quick to greet us and take our drink order but unfortunately he transfered us to a server who totally ignored us and was rude when my dad asked for a round snapping at him saying she 'll be back in a minute. Well that was one long minute! We sat empty for almost 45 minutes. I went up to the bar to ask for help then we started ordering extra buckets so no one would go dry. Kind of ghetto putting cans in the buckets instead of bottles. Took almost as long to get menus. The only good thing was our food which came out at decent time. Except for my Mom 's because the server said the kitchen burnt it. We wanted a doggy bag for my Mom 's half a quesadilla, a caesar salad that wasn 't even touched, and a piece of pizza but the server threw it in the garbage. Don 't know why because we stacked it neatly on the plate to make it easy for her. She didn 't even apologize. Such wonderful customer service! Because it was my Grandma 's birthday my dad picked up the first bill which was $450 for all 10 of us. My mom asked the server if he tipped her and she said in such snotty way ya only 10%. Maybe she should go back to school because $45 is 10% my dad left her $65. As far as I am concerned she didn 't deserve a cent but my dad is way too nice to do that. We stayed longer after that but since the servers pissy attitude went from bad to worse my uncle just went up to the bar and got our drinks. We used to love going to the BoHo/Hexters but after a table drops an easy $1000+ between food, drinks, and VLTs only to be treated in such a **** poor manner I 'm sorry but we definately won 't be back, won 't recommend it and will warn everyone not to go there!!!!
Been here a few times now, all three time ls the worst service ever! There are servers walking around the bar but they look like they only the the regular ls who are extremely drunk. The first trip was on rib night we asked the server how large the portions were because the price was $1.50. She advised they were small, so I order four different flavours...when they came out the table the ribs were enormous, it was a ridiculous waste of food. Last night my date and I sat at a table, we waited for 15 mins before I went to the bar to order. We were there for three drinks and not once did a server visit the table. On the bright side the bar is loud and they play good music, and have pool tables. It is what it is,
I visited the restaurant on a Sunday and enjoyed some excellent blues music in a well-lit atmosphere that didn't feel sketchy or unwelcoming for not being dressed in biker attire. The beef nachos were a generous portion and only cost $9, and it seemed like everyone dining there was thoroughly enjoying their meals. I plan on returning on a Friday night to experience the atmosphere then. As a single guy, I hope to see some single ladies there to give it that extra star rating. Maybe they'll be there on a Friday night!
