Grey Eagle Casino Buffet & Restaurant

Excellent. Well-organized, ample selection, plenty of time to enjoy and a really good price. Food was fresh and tastey. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. protocols adhered to with proof of vaccine required. Reservations through OpenTable recommended, although the wait list line appeared to...move fairly quickly. Warning: Arrive early as finding a parking spot near the main doors could be a challenge.

Two of us went to the lunch buffet at the Grey Eagle Resort and Casino. Service was friendly and fast. All the food choices were very good. Large choice of fresh salad items, and a choice of many main dishes plus roast beef. Very large...selection of fruits, pies, cakes etc for dessert. Will be returning soon.

Aside from the fact that it is not self serve anymore, aside from the fact that they insist on serving the jumbo shrimp on ice, aside from the fact that the price keeps on going up, aside from the fact that they ask you to...leave after hours, now they downgraded the only thing and reason why I was going there. Their crab legs are now soft, smaller, tasteless and mostly empty. They must have replaced them with a much cheaper type, totally unacceptable. Time to find another place.

On the afternoon of August my husband and I planned to have lunch at the casino buffet. The day prior we called the the restaurant and casino to confirm we could bring our baby. We called twice to be on the safe side and...both times the staff on the other end confirmed that we were able to bring in our baby. We arrived on the of August in the afternoon, and the two staff at the front said we weren’t allowed in. They were very smug and rude in their interaction with us. We asked to speak to a manager and she behaved in the same way. All the staff rudely told us we were not allowed in even though we said we had called to confirm. The crazy thing was that another couple arrived at the same time as us, also with a baby, and said they called the restaurant as well to confirm they could bring in their child. Through our interactions with the staff, none of them gave any apologies for the inconvenience that was caused to us. Not to mention we drove all the way from the north east to dine at your restaurant. Instead, the staff were extremely rude, and had a smirk on their face the entire time we were speaking to them. No compensation was given for the false information that was provided, and we are extremely disappointed in the service we received. We will not be returning back to this casino, and will certainly inform our family and friends to do the same.

Check in took a while but the hotel is still respecting many covid protocols which added to this. I am fine with this. Upon check in , the front desk gentleman indicated if we wanted to use the gym or pool, we’d have to book...a time. This was not indicated anywhere on the site when I booked or follow up emails. I told him I wanted to right away and got the last spot at the latest time in the evening- phew! When traveling with kids that’s all they look forward to! Got into room and first thing notice the carpet at the desk area was soaked as if someone left wet clothes or maybe just steam cleaned that area. I didn’t read much into it. When I went to sit on the bed I placed my hand on the table between the beds and nearly couldn’t lift it off. It was so sticky!! Like soft drink spilled and was never cleaned. I cleaned it before anyone set a phone or something down. I was a bit put off but figured it was an oversight. Later using the washroom it was evident the counter front hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. At this point I was fairly disappointed in the seeming lack of cleanliness and attention to detail. The staff were busy and despite the requests to have them let us in the pool for our time we ended up being let in by others inside bc staff never were free to make it. We let another family in who had asked twice and no one came. I was also disappointed in an experience at the Little Chief Restaurant which I’ll review separately. Overall I won’t be returning. Very disappointed.
