I go there for the beef dip. Yum. Excellent service. The room is in the basement and the ceiling is a little low like a cavern.

I love the Beef Dip here. It is really good as in one of the best around. The au jus is more of a thicker gravy, which I prefer since I dip my fries in it. The fries are nice and crispy with just a hint of seasoning on them.

Global is great for a quick bite, has a decent variety of food (including Lobster Mac and Cheese, who would have thought? . Service is quick. Private Business conversations can be had depending on where you are sitting.

I had high hopes for this restaurant after hearing great reviews, but I was very disappointed. The service was fantastic, with polite and attentive servers. However, the atmosphere in the basement restaurant felt cold and institutional, with very bland decor. It was not a romantic or fun place to dine. The food reminded me of a hospital cafeteria, with my chicken burger being overly salty and the Caesar salad lacking in flavor. My friend's stir fry was just okay. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant for a special night out.

We booked a group lunch at Global because of its location and vegetarian options. It's in the basement of the International Hotel so that wasa bit of a surprise. Low ceiling and it looks like it used to be a cafeteria. It was clean and nicely decorated though. The use servers were scattered and awkward but the food was fantastic. Great lunch selections with generous portions for the price. I wouldn't recommend it for a fancy occasion but if you're downtown and want a great lunch it's worth checking out.
