Earls Calgary Shepard Flats

I had the chicken. There was only one empty table at about pm on thursday afternoon. Earls is very consistant in how they prepare the food.

My first dining experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The staff was very friendly from the moment we walked in. Jordan greeted us and let us know that Brianna would be our server. Brianna was exceptional, attentive and welcoming. They worked great together as a team. Even though I was initially unsure about having two people serving us, everything ran smoothly. I tried the Chicken Hunan, recommended by Jordan, and it was delicious - definitely my new favorite dish. Brianna also helped me pick out a bottle of wine, a new one called Lost Poet, which was also excellent. The two of them made my evening memorable. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant!

I ordered the sirloin steak and it was the toughest steak I have had in a long time. It was difficult to even cut with the knife. This is not the first time I have had a bad steak at Earls, but it will definitely be my last. We used to dine there frequently until about a year ago when I had another terrible steak. I decided to give them another chance, but I would not recommend going there for steak.

After reading some reviews, I was surprised. My wife and I went back to this restaurant last night for her birthday, and the food, appetizers, and drinks were amazing. Our waitress, Mataya, was excellent and very attentive. The entire staff was wonderful - we were greeted by a friendly hostess, the manager personally checked on us, and our appetizers were brought out by another staff member. It was truly a team effort. This restaurant has the best staff on the south side.

Earls is usually great at this location however tonight as we were in for a memorial dinner with family, three of us had very cold fries and my sister and I both got cold Chicken, Brie and Fig sandwiches, to the point that a slice...of Brie was cold to the touch, and not at all melted in what is usually a hot sandwich. We are sitting on the patio which is nice and warm, and has a nice ambiance. Server is nice and friendly, and front staff are kind as always.
