I promptly said i ordered baked. He stared at me and said he said baked salt and pepper... my husband agreed he did not. The wings were so oily i asked him how is it possible that these are baked. He assured me they were. When he came back I showed him the oil on my plate... he says I saw them take it out if the oven.... they're baked. I ask to speak to someone as these were not baked. He offered to give me something else but i had a time restraint, I needed to eat. He didn't come back to our table other then cleaning dishes. Charged us full charge even though my meal was awful. Don't waste your time eating here.
I took a family group (seven) to this Boston Pizza in Calgary for dinner on a Monday night. The place was nearly empty. We ordered, starting with a large order of chicken wings and some nachos to share. We then waited, and waited. Although the order did not seem complex and there were almost no customers, it took a surprisingly long time. These did arise and the main dishes shortly thereafter. Our group had a variety of menu items, from small pizzas, quesadillas and a club sandwich. I settled on a ravioli dish with multiple cheeses and a bolognese sauce ($17.10). This was quite good, a pleasant take on ravioli. Our group enjoyed our meals, and there was some that ended being taken home for later.Three people ordered the 'Dessert Burger' ($3.25), which is an ice cream sandwich in the style of, yes, a burger. It has a block of ice cream, a topping of chocolate ganache (very rich), on a cookie 'bun'.Again, the desserts took a loooong time. The server actually explained that it takes longer because the 'bun' actually goes through a toaster. The dessert burgers were well received (I didn't have any), and described as very rich and very sweet - hardly a surprised. The servers were quite good, and obviously they don't control what happens in the kitchen.Boston Pizza is a good choice for a family group with kids, and our group did enjoy their food. So, the slowness aside, this is reasonable and typical of this widespread Canadian chain (as you might have expected it has nothing to do with Boston, the company was founded in Edmonton).
It was a good experience this Monday at BP. We had a family lunch just after the joint opened. We used our gift card and our little girl ate for free. Decent pizza and great service.
Food and price and service all reasonable for the price. Unless you particularly want the "restaurant atmosphere' however, you can do just as well for considerably less money at a typical food hall.
I was in a group of 5 at Boston Pizza. When we got there, it was almost empty so we were seated right away. The service was prompt although the server just seemed awkward all around.Food arrived quickly once we ordered which was surprisingly for Boston Pizza locations.Overall the food was average, leaning towards being bland. Since it was Pasta Tuesday, the food was very reasonable. I got a pretty big plate of pasta for $9 so no complaints there at all.
