Contribuiți la feedbackI had never been to Aussie Rules Piano Bar before, but recently went with a group of girlfriends for a night out. The highlight of the bar is a stunning wall painting featuring various musical artists. Two pianos and a percussion kit are situated under the mural on an elevated stage, with tables in front and a raised area with booths. My group of six chose a table with a great view of the stage. We ordered drinks (I had a Fitzsimmons Outdoor Rink Cream Ale for $7.15) and shared some appetizers, including boneless ribs, fries, and mini perogies. The food was decent, with the fries having a nice little kick to them. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, and the bar was clean. The piano show was fantastic, with three talented musicians rotating between the pianos and taking song requests from the audience. The performances were top-notch - I could have listened all night! I can't wait to go back and bring my husband.
After hearing many positive reviews about AussieRules, my friends and I decided to book a Thursday evening reservation. We arrived around 6:45 and started with some appetizers. The deep-fried pickles were quickly devoured, and we then ordered the beef dip and a burger for our main meal. While everything was good, it was nothing particularly exceptional. However, what really made the evening stand out were the lively pianists who entertained the crowd. They had everyone up on their feet, dancing in the aisles, and even standing on their chairs. Their talent was truly impressive, as they were not only funny and entertaining but also very professional. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and would recommend it for anyone looking for a unique and fun night out. Bringing friends along only adds to the craziness and enjoyment of the experience.
Expect long waits, slow service at the bar, and repetitive piano music. While enjoyable at first, the atmosphere may start to feel tiresome after a few visits.
Pianos and vocals were not stopped all night. Audience encouraged to sing and dance wherever the room was, including the stage or on their chairs.
This is a fantastic night out especially with a big group. The piano player do a great job getting everyone in the bar involved. It’s definitely on the pricer side of a night of but definitely worth it to mix up your nights out.
