Waldhaus Restaurant - Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel

Unfortunately I wasn't a hotel guest at The Fairmont Banff Springs but I was able to attend an event here towards the end of last year and let me tell you -

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Classy, upscale hotel--old and steeped in history but very well maintained. This is such a cool old hotel.

Dinner with my Rose and 6 other friends. The staff was very accommodating and gave us a table where we could watch the golfers come up No. 9.The variety of food for a golf course and the quality was outstanding. The service was great.It was nice that the Banff Fairmont Springs Hotel provided free transportation both ways #guidedbycollette

I visited Stanley's Smokehouse for my birthday meal, but we were a little disappointed. The restaurant is very large and could do with some updating. This meant there wasn't much atmosphere. The food was ok but nothing special. We felt the drinks menu was quite limited, with not many cocktails on offer. My family are fans of the Fairmont and have had excellent experiences at all their other restaurants at the Banff Springs, but felt this place wasn't really up to their usual high standards. Despite this, the service was good and the view is stunning.
