Contribuiți la feedbackMy friend and I ordered the mixed tonkatsu and spicy cream tonkatsu, along with calamari as an appetizer. The calamari was a bit disappointing as it was chewy and lacked flavor. The portion size was also small for the price. My mixed tonkatsu was dry, but the prawns were the highlight of the dish. The original sauce was too sweet for my liking, so I ended up using my friend's cream sauce. The pork cream sauce tonkatsu that my friend ordered was delicious and exceeded my expectations. The green tea with chocolate and lychee was a pleasant surprise and sealed the deal for a 4-star rating. Overall, it was a satisfying meal despite some minor shortcomings.
Unique take on seafood. Integrating Korean gochujang flavours with battered and fried seafood. Unfortunately, the oil used for frying needed a change...you could smell and taste the bad oil in the food.
Walked by this place hundreds of times going to dragon city mall. Finally had to check out the illusive second floor restaurant that's tucked in the corner. I'm so glad I did, at first I I really expected it to be similar to other seafood restaurants. Was I ever wrong, and I'm glad I’m wrong. It’s a Japanese spin on western seafood dishes. My group and I started with an order of the spicy calamari, the batter was the right balance, the hot sauce packed just the right amount of heat, after that our order of mussels arrived, the mussels were alright I would say my least favorite of the dishes ordered but not bad by any stretch, next out came my order of prawns in scallops, the scallops and prawns tasted fresh not frozen which can be hard to come by in Calgary, the sauce was incredible very creamy with a touch of heat I finished every drop and the bread that came with it was a perfect side. My partner ordered the chicken Katsu don… honestly it might be my new favorite this side of the pacific, the cutlet was incredibly tender with the perfect batter, the sauce complimented the chicken very nicely. This really is my new favorite hidden gem, I will for sure be going back.
Went there on wednesday at 5pm and it was closed … would have appreciated an update about closures on your website
Amazing seafood. Best calamari in Calgary. It's a little hole in the wall with not much atmosphere, but extremely friendly staff great food!!
