Okie Donuts - Calera

I just spent $11 on two donuts, a Dr. Pepper, and a small pig in a blanket. I can get the same items for under $8 in Durant.

Okie Donuts is one of the best donuts places around this area! The prices are great, the food is amazing, and they have the best Okie Special!

The donuts here are amazing! My mom is particularly fond of the apple fritters. The cinnamon rolls are huge! If you want to get your hands on the cinnamon rolls or fritters, make sure to arrive early because they sell out quickly! The woman who runs the place is incredibly kind too!

I ordered a pink donut for my child and a chocolate donut along with three pigs in a blanket. I felt the price was a bit high, but I didn't think too much of it at the time. When I got home, I realized I was charged for two pink donuts, two chocolate donuts, and a bunch of donut holes, while I had only asked for a couple. The staff member had an accent, which might have contributed to the misunderstanding, but she seemed to understand what I was saying. It feels like she added items without my consent. I had trusted them to get my order right. If she struggles with taking orders accurately, then maybe she shouldn't be in that role. We didn't have much to spend, so my wife was understandably upset when I told her what happened. From now on, I won't assume my order was correct unless they confirm it back to me. Since she didn’t repeat my order, it felt like she could do whatever she wanted. This is frustrating and reflects poorly on their business.
