Pita Pit - Caledonia

I was assisted by a lovely petite woman of Eastern Indian descent whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch. She was very polite and friendly, always wearing a smile. It’s refreshing to encounter fast food employees who genuinely care about their customers. The food was incredibly delicious, and I highly recommend trying the chicken shawarma!

I ordered a small buffalo sub with extra meat and everything seemed fine until the supervisor informed me that she forgot to charge me for the extra meat. I had to explain about 3-4 times that I had requested double meat. She then told me I would need to pay for the extra meat again, which I decided to decline. After doing the math, I realized I had overpaid for my small sub considering the taxes. When I asked about it, they told me I had actually ordered a regular sub, and they just laughed it off. This experience was very unprofessional, and I will not be coming back.

On my first visit, I ordered a chicken Caesar. When I requested Caesar dressing, they told me that the remaining 1/8 of a bottle was all they had for the day, so they could only provide a small amount. They even argued with me when I asked for two lines of dressing. As a paying customer, I believe I should receive a reasonable amount of sauce. During my second and third visits, I was fortunate if I received three pieces of chicken. Having worked at Pita Pit before, I know the standard is 3 ounces, but it seems like the owners are cutting corners to save costs and not providing the portion sizes that used to be standard. Today, I was served brown lettuce and slimy spinach. The employee filled my pita with about 90% lettuce in an attempt to mask the meager amount of vegetables and chicken. I spent nearly $15 on a regular pita along with a small tip, only to be served wilted lettuce and spinach, along with just some spinach sauce and bread—it’s incredibly disappointing. Every time I request extra toppings, the staff is unhelpful and I’m lucky to get one or two additional pieces of the vegetable I asked for. I won’t be returning to this location; I’d prefer to drive an additional 15 minutes each way to visit the one in Brantford instead.

Not like it used to be..was always welcomed as soon as you walk in the door, not today. Young children running around the kitchen and prep areas. Speaking in their own language and not to the customers. No smiles or thank you or talking with customers. Not like it used to be!!

Walked in asked if I could order a pita, staff member groaned and mumbled something. Asked her to repeat herself she said yes you can. In an unwelcoming tone. After a long pause she said I 'm like really tired. I decided to take my buisness elsewhere.
