Cafe Du Minck - Calais

I have visited this place from and on, as great locals bar opposite the fresh fish stands in the harbour, only from the main road. the atmosphere is pure calais French. the fact that the owners do not speak English (as mentioned by another valerist) should only calm them down that they are not in a tourist trap. I would like to know how many renters speak in French? good selection of crying through the glass and a local beer on tap. come in smiles, shake a few hands and enjoy real North French hospitality highly recommended!

This place is charming. the owner came by to shake our hand after we had set ourselves and took over our order. the drinks were appropriately priced two beers, glass wee and a diet coke came to be prepared to get the regular around the tables at the arrival and shake their hand. it surprised us first, but after the person shook our hand and said hello, we just walked with the flow. such a great thing to do the world needs more places like this!
