The Lillypad Cafe - Cairns

As others have already mentioned, parts here are large, often challenging to finish in one session. Prices are low for the amount of food you receive compared to other cafes. The menu is eclectic with loads of vegan options that are always as good or better than the original option because they commit to replacing any ingredient. I've never heard of them before, oh I'm sorry we ran out of vegan fattya or some such excuses. Today I ordered an ice chocolate and you can bet Your [censored] it came with whipped cream, ice and a dusting of cocoa! Try it! Do not let the pigeons or the rather shameful decor, just sit down and weep.

Fresh juices and ash-browns are delish I love this for a fast snack to bind me when I am peckish while I run in the city discharges! When you come down to eat an actual meal, there is quite average. We had to wait at least 30 minutes until two breakfasts come. Super basic foods that honestly quite bland and disappointing especially after such a wait for it to come out. Portions were massive, I could only eat half of my breakfast and my mother ate even less of her. While I usually appreciate a larger portion size when the food is disappointing, it is easy to waste because we did not want to take all the remains home

Much to choose from the menu. Great portions and friendly staff. The food I tried was delicious. Can be busy in the morning. Great place for breakfast.

I enjoyed breakfast my girlfriend and I had here. We've eaten with another order every few minutes. The Huvenos ranchos and shashuka were both great (see menu). Nice oat flat whites too Updated by previous rating on 2022-10-01

Seeing the well labelled options on their menu had me croaking like a frog Tried the huevos rancheros and shakshuka can choose between tofu or tempe on the side, eggs subbed for extra avo in the shakshuka
