Pop & Co Tapas & Music Bar - Cairns

I have always enjoyed visiting the old "Bernies Jazz and Piano Bar" for a post-dinner drink and entertainment. Ever since the new owners took over and renovated the place, it has improved even more. Although I have not tried the food myself, I have heard positive reviews about it.

This restaurant is a wonderful escape from the usual loud bars in Cairns. The service is very personal and the atmosphere is cozy, with enjoyable live music. The food is simple yet delicious. My evening here was truly delightful.

My husband and I celebrated his birthday at this restaurant a few weeks ago. We ordered some share plates, plenty of champagne, and had an amazing time. The owners were very welcoming and fun, the music was fantastic, and the food was delicious. My husband especially enjoyed the oysters with strawberry, and I couldn't resist the barramundi tacos. I highly recommend this place for a night out with friends.

What a great little music venue. The food was incredible, wish our stomachs were bigger. Service was friendly and quick and the music was awesome. Will be back for sure. A little hidden gem.

This was originally called Bernies and now has new owners. This is still one of Cairns secret hot spots and if you're after a night of nice music and excellent food then you can't go past this joint. It's small, laid back, casual and welcoming. Pop and his lovely wife and team are happy for a chat while serving great wines, cocktails and the best tapas I've ever had. $15 for a great range from barramundi tacos ( the best I've ever had. Crunchy batter, fresh fish, fresh lettuce, a lemony chilli sauce and a soft tortilla and fresh home made aoili) and the 2nd night I had pork belly and scallops with a ginger sauce.....magic. They also have a normal menu. I heard the guy next to me say that his steak was the most tender he'd ever had. Then there's the music. Changes nightly from solo to blues and everything in between. If you're over nightclubs this is the spot to be.
