Castaway Restaurant - Cairns

Our family been here on 2 consecutive nights and the food was so lovely. We wish we could come here every night.

My wife and I went there in Nov while we were in Cairns. We are surprised that the quality of food there is at the least comparable to the four star restaurant and reasonably priced. Highly recomended

A friend and I decided to go out for dinner and because she had an Accor card giving us discounted meals at some places, we decided on the Ibis Castaway restaurant. On arrival we both received a complimentary glass of wine - a nice start. The menu wasnt huge but it did have a good range and there were also daily specials. I chose the salt and pepper squid and my friend the Hokkien noodles. Both meals were perfectly cooked, generous portions and delicious!But the biggest surprise was the bill! With the meal discount the total price was $21.50 - $10.75 each! Cant get better than that!The service couldnt be faulted, even the chef came to check if we were enjoying our meals. It was a quiet night so we enjoyed a peaceful meal at a table next to the window overlooking the pool area. Will definitely be returning - even without a meal card its a definite winner!

We dined in this restaurant several times, and you get a complimentary glass of wine with your dinner. The meals are well cooked and was not very busy when we went. There is a charge if you use a credit card to pay, otherwise good value for money, well cooked and well served.
