Another highlight of any trip to Cairns is a feed from Captain Cook Seafoods. Always the best fresh seafood.

Last 3 trips to Cairns, we must get cooked crab from them to eat while we were there and also bring back down south and overseas. Much cheaper than going to restaurant and quality is top. Service is good, opening hour is good for catching any flights.

New owners have taken over this take away I ordered a hamburger only to find the meat patty still frozen in the middle and the bacon not cooked. Biggest waste of $10 ever. Threw the food in the bin and contacted the health department who did follow up on the complaint.Where at one time you could not get a foot in the door to get erved at 7pm on a friday night there is now no one queueing up and the shop is deserted.Local are avoiding te place at all cost and appears only tourists visit the place.I have never seen a place go down hill so quickly bring the old owners back

I was amazed that this seafood shop is still there in its original location. More than 23 years ago when I still lived in Cairns I shopped there regulary for my Prawns and Bugs. I even worked on Ocean Spirit going to Michaelmas Cay, when it first started and we got all of our prawns from there. Still going strong

Drove past this place two or three times, looked good so gave it a try. Turned out to be one of the best Fish & Chips & Burgers.
