Rocco - Cairns City (QLD)

With high expectations from other reviews. My mushroom dish was sweet, my husband wasn't sharp on his cattle cheeks. It was a bitter cold night (from Bokarina Beach) and we sat outside without wind protection, so be warned, food will be very fast if you don't have inside. A couple saw a blanket from their car to wrap around.

Great, stylish place for Cairns. Roof view and attitude is amazing. The food is delicious and top notch. Great date and anniversary or venue. Hands down one of Cairns' best. Could have more seats. Has many high stools and tables that are beautiful, but can be a little unpleasant. The staff is friendly and warm. They are attentive if they are not too busy. Had to wait over 40 minutes for the 2nd round of drinks and additional order of meals and then after a few memories. I'd dinate again.

Rocco is accessible via an elevator to level 12 in the tower and has an ambient atmosphere for couples or a group. Live DJ started on Saturday night at 9:00. Very recommended for a great food and night trip.

Cocktail menu was great and food to match. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the best view of Cairns from the viewing deck. Our waiter was knowledgeable and fun he helped us have a great night.

Unfortunately it was a busy period and they seemed to be under staffed. It took half hour for a cocktail to be made after placing the order and they forgot the other drink which was a beer on tap when the cocktail finally arrived. The lights were projecting heat which made it uncomfortable to sit under. Due to the poor service we didn't stay as planned and left. The view is 10/10 and I'm sure if they had more staff it would of been a better experience.
