I have stayed at Frank and Arelys several times over the past 5 years, most recently for 4 days in June and 4 days in August 2017. They used to rent out 3 rooms, but added 3 more in August so that more people can experience Villa Colonial Frank y Arelys. The rooms are very comfortable with their own bathrooms and air conditioning. The terrace is perfect for enjoying a morning coffee, evening drinks, or soaking up the sun during the day. The food is fantastic - Frank claims to cook it, but it's really Arelys, the master chef of the couple. Remedios is a quaint town perfect for relaxing, or for a stop on the way to Havana in the east or Cayo Coco in the west. Remedios also serves as the gateway to Cayo Santa Maria, with many beautiful beaches and resorts. When we visit, we spend a week at Villa Colonial and a week on the road - it's a combination that works well for us. I highly recommend Villa Colonial - it's the best casa particular I've stayed at in Cuba. I give it a 10 for the hospitality, 10 for the food, and 10 for the accommodations.
