Puerto Pirata Tiki - Cahuita

We ate here twice. The first time we ordered tacos because when we asked about the tortillas we were told that they were corn. However, the second time we went (planning to have tacos again) we were told that the tortillas were flour so I ordered a BBQ chicken bowl. It was good but I doubt we’ll return due to the mixed signals we received.

Gluten-free operation was not a term, so it went through with me all the ingredients and so I could enjoy a delicious veggie curry.

100% corn tortillas for tacos and offer gf burrito wraps. Lots of naturally gluten free dishes. Very good food

This place is so funny! The staff was friendly and the beach view was great. Your menu is also great; I enjoyed reading all the creative names for their drinks. My group enjoyed the Funky Monkey and Painkiller cocktails. I also had a banana chocolate peanut butter smoothie (the Hunky Monkey), which was absolutely delicious. The Poke scarves are also from this world. Definitely worth a stop when you visit Puerto Viejo.

We had the volcanic shell and what a pleasure! The portion size was exactly right and it has a ton of vegetables that are very lightly seasoned. It makes a wonderful lunch, even if it is under the dazzling Puerto Viejo heat.
