The carne asada was cold, tough, flavorless, and fatty and the chips and salsa.were stale and flavorless. However, the thing that actually led me to write a negative review, which I try not to do, was when the check came. It felt like we were being hustled and taken advantage of. The bill was outrageous and even though we tried to ask for clarification we couldn't get it. This place left is feeling yucky and still hungry. So disappointing. I wish we had read the reviews before coming here.
Didn't have a chance to take a tour. Just stopped by for the fish taco special. 3 fish taco for M$100 plus a free beer. Turns out that they are also serving 2 for 1 Margaritas. Who can turn that down on a thirsty afternoon? Not me. That's for sure. Turns out it was a pretty good call. Those margaritas were very good. Some of the only ones I have had that were made with fresh squeezed lime juice, not that José Cuervo mixer most places use. Delicious!
We were excited to order marlin tacos from La Paz but we received something way different than what we ordered. What a disappointment of this restaurant to try to sell marlin when it is not even close enough to what it looks and tastes. I do not recommend this place based on this experience.
While wandering around the La Paz boardwalk, I decided to stop into this very nice looking tour office and restaurant for a beer, and was coaxed into ordering some food. I rarely give low reviews, but good gracious, this please was terrible. It took 10 minutes for my beer to come out, and about 30 mins for my meal. The meal was something else. I ordered bass, but whatever I received was so over cooked and smothered in tomato sauce, warm olives, peppers, and huge slices of onions that I didn't know what it was, or even which type of ethnicity this place was supposed to represent. Hopefully others will have a better experience than I did, because it was a bad way to experience the cuisine of La Paz for the first time.
