Contribuiți la feedbackWe have been going to this restaurant for last 3 or 4 years most months....however of late new staff, slow service and yesterday awfull pasta dinner.....such a shame....please bring back old chef and staff !
This little gem kiosk in the Lungomare has gone better and better over the years! Incredibly friendly staff (tell Gabry or Marco what You fancy and they'll bring it to the table with a big smile and a wink! Welcoming atmosphere. Family and dog friendly. A little oasis of peace in a very busy part of the Poetto beach. No many vegan choices, I'm afraid, but I was accommodated quite quickly with two dishes very common to vegan travellers but, nonetheless, incredibly tasteful. I highly recommend La Lanterna Rossa non-alcoholic cocktail made with fresh seasonal fruits, exclusive to the kiosk and quite popular at present. A big thank You to Gabry for making me feel at home again: cant wait to return and try Your gluten-free pasta. Luna :
Unfortunately we we never able to check if the food was any good. This beach bar restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel but when we went we sat waiting for 25 minutes without being served. After attracting the attention of a waiter and indicating that we would like to order some water while waiting for the menu, we were told we had to ask his colleague. Another long ten minutes past so in the end, feeling thirsty and hungry, we got up and left. The only positive point was getting a photo of the lovely pink coloured villa on the opposite side of the road. Pity. There are plenty of other similar establishments on the beach so there is no lack of choice.
We were walking along Poetto beach towards the centre of Cagliari, looking for somewhere to eat dinner. We'd gone a long way, passing nowhere very promising when we found La Lanterna Rossa. Tiredness, and the worry that we wouldn't find anywhere else (actually we found plenty more restaurants after eating) led us inside. The menu was not very exciting, and our expectations were not high, but we both went for the seafood menu for €19.50. The cold seafood salad was competent. Then came the prawns DELICIOUS! big, succulent perhaps the best I've ever tasted. No sauce, no need just plain grilled. The ice cream dessert was also very pleasant. The staff were friendly and could not have been more helpful. My only criticism the white wine (included in the menu price) was very sweet, and nothing more dry was available.
We went to this poetto kiosk a Saturday night for an aperitif: welcome by the staff and well-assorted cocktail card. average prices, good quality. That's good!
