Morrisons Cafe - Caerphilly

This popular café in town offers a wide selection of both hot and cold meals. I enjoyed their tea and sandwiches, which were very reasonably priced.

Overall, my experience was very disappointing. The staff seemed preoccupied with chatting among themselves and were not attentive to the customers. We initially planned to have meals, but the entire café was in desperate need of a thorough cleaning. The teapots were quite dirty, so we requested mugs instead. After a long wait, we decided to order coffees instead of using the unclean teapots. Many tables were left with leftovers and dirty dishes. Eventually, I had to ask a staff member to clear a dirty table for us, which is unacceptable. I will be reporting this establishment to the authorities due to their poor hygiene standards. We will not be returning to this café.

We both ordered fish and chips, but the portion of chips was very small and overcooked. One piece of battered fish was so overdone that I struggled to cut through the batter. Our table was dirty, and the napkin dispensers were empty for the entire time we were seated. We waited a long time for our food; they may have been busy before we arrived, but it also seemed like they were short-staffed. On a positive note, Holly, a staff member, was really helpful and very friendly. One more thing to mention is that there was no toilet seat on the one toilet available in Morrisons. I share this review because my previous experiences at other Morrison cafes have been exceptional in every way.

The cafe was cold, i was glad I had my coat on. The order took 20 minutes to come but to be fair the bacon rolls were good. A few people around me were complaining about the service being too slow. I would not go there again, there are plenty of cafe 's locally which are warm and inviting and much better service. The staff were helpful and friendly.

This is a big breakfast for £6. The bacon and sausages are quite nice, black pudding, fried bread, fried egg, beans, mushrooms. They had ran out of hash browns so I had an extra sausage not realising that I had 3 on there already. I ordered toast I didn't need it, was full enough with the Big Daddy. Free sauces and condiments. Typical for a supermarket cafe, but would go back.
