Contribuiți la feedbackAfter an interrupted short break in la Chapelle-Montligeon in the nature park perche, caused by the heavy snow that kept in France in its tracks. no longer complain about British efforts when it snows! the snow has changed the plans and decided to travel to caen. to catch the ferry late afternoon and with the use of tripadviser we have selected l’ancecdote for lunch. a good choice! we decided to have a deer and a plate for 14 euro a head that was very good, both in value and quality. any other diner we observed, however, decided to shed blood while we enjoyed a very good bark bourguignon. the restaurant is not very large and each diner came between midday and 12.10 clock and leaves only two tables unoccupied. So if I want to enjoy a good lunch, I would recommend that they arrive on the afternoon or make a reservation. the only waitress was very pleasant and very hard working and spoke English. unusual, in French restaurants, she was very happy and ready to use her skills. the only minor complaint was that the restaurant was heated only by electric wall heaters that were not switched on before opening. but the locals turned them immediately and with an almost full restaurant heated the room. the restaurant is located in a residential area near the city center and parking is free and unrestricted so it took some time to find a parking space. we regularly drive through the opposite while we use brittany ferries in ouistreham so we will return.
Our reason for a reservation and the journey from our house in gacé to L’anecdote on Friday night was to enjoy the jazz soiree as it was our first visit, we did not know what was to be expected from the event. we have not taken care of; in the future we were met with the warmest greetings of anne who participated in the needs of 30 guests. they copied this admirable and could even take time and have a chat during the serving at the table. from the beginning was the quality of the food prepared in the kitchen of hervé, the man of anne delicious. we enjoyed the special menu for the evening and it could not be missed, from the deep aromas of the pumpkin soup with smoked duck breast to the delightful dessert everything was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. If you are looking for a nice little place to eat, eat here at L'anecdote. I had cooked a fish dish in ceramic cookware with potato puree, delicious!!!. I had the homemade cream brulé for the desert and it is to die!!!

A family business running! The kitchen is excellent (the chef is high) very refined and the very warm service. A very nice place to calm down.
