Contribuiți la feedbackWe visited this bakery while we were traveling to South Island for a vacation. It was my birthday that day and my husband found this place through Google search and the reviews said this was the best bakery in Wanaka, indeed it was. We tried this chocolate pastry which you can see in the pics (I don't remember the name) and trust me I've never had better chocolate pastry till date. It was just so right, right flavor of dark chocolate, caramel, not too soft, rightly moist... just too good. Absolutely loved it. The coffee was also quite good. All in all a great way to start your birthday. I would definitely recommend this place to all fellow travellers.
I highly recommend this place for breakfast, when the pies are served piping hot! As a tourist I've visited many bakeries throughout the South Island and this has to be the best one so far! sausage roll: more filling than pastry. Sausage filling was flavourful paired with herbs. More importantly, it was hot and the roll held itself together unlike others which will crumble after a few bites. croissant ham and cheese: Croissant was crispy even after 5 hours. More importantly the combination was delightful. Highly recommended! pie of the day: Mexican pork more filling than pastry. The filling was piping hot and flavourful. Tomato based filling mixed with roast pork. Pork skin was crispy, imagine that being in a pie! Would definitely recommend the owner to include this dish in their regular menu
My partner and I are visiting from Sydney and thought we would checkout Pembroke Patisserie. It certainly did not disappoint, the sweet was incredible. The service was also great and the coffee was great to top off the overall experience. Highly recommended
Fantastic food! The almond croissant, sausage roll and pies were delicious! Came back a second time before we left for Queenstown
Although it closes at 2pm, we managed to get here at 1.15pm still had the pie of the day which was Mexican pork, spinach ricotta roll Mince pastie with onions inside pecan tart, which all of them were delicious in our opinion. Wish we came in earlier so we can have other pies. 2nd visit, had the sausage roll (very good) ham and cheese croissant (amazing), the onion quiche was good but ok, the mince and cheese was good but ok as well. 3rd visit. Had the almond croissant salted caramel donut. Don't think donuts are my thing but the almond croissant wasn't overly sweet was very crispy. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
