La Cucina - Cademario

Card with little choice. High price. Staff (mostly) cold and unsmiling. Food nothing more. The bread was not cooked. As a starter, I chose: pork belly cooked at low temperature with grilled tomato chutney, braised cabis and pork popcorn (translation from the menu). I received a very fatty piece of pork, the tomato sauce tasted like barbecue sauce and there was cabbage drizzled with olive oil on the plate. I then had a crepe with hazelnut cream, because neither dish tempted me. The waitress told me that it was lactose and gluten free? The presentation of the desserts was beautiful. However, I received a cold crepe. The taste really wasn't great since I could taste grains of salt and the cream was more like dark chocolate with some hazelnuts. We paid a total of 88. for 2 starters, 2 desserts and 1/2 liter of water. I was extremely disappointed with this restaurant, which for me is clearly not up to par with the hotel, which, for the rest, is impeccable.

Unfortunately we gave this Restaurant a try despite the reviews here because we stayed at the hotel. We ordered 4 dishes and and all of them came in various degrees of warmth but just not hot. The edges of for example the pasta were clearly more dry and the meat was cold in the middle which leads me to believe chef microwave holds a high and well paid position in this kitchen. The most disappointing thing was the crêpe as dessert tho. A loveless piece of papyrus on top of some sad and lonely looking nuts. The hot chocolate served on the side was really flocky and the oil from it wasn’t even binding with the rest. So you just had a really unappetising mixture of water, oil and some pieces of chocolate. Taste was just as imagined and all of that costs a whopping 16 Chf. Don’t recommend at all for the price there

Wir haben a la carte gegessen an unserem ersten Abend. Meine Vorspeise, ein „Ostertörtchtchen“ mit Spinat, war sehr sehr trocken, ungewürzt und mit 24 Franken mehr als zu teuer. Die beiden nachfolgenden Gänge waren auch nicht beachtenswert. An zwei Nachbartischen haben Gäste das Châteaubriand bestellt, welches für meine Verhältnisse zu weit gegart war. Tendenz medium. (55 Franken pro Person)Die zweite Reservierung in der Agra-Bar haben wir abgesagt und sind lieber in andere Restaurants gefahren.

Im „La Cucina“ hatten wir ein 4 Gang Menü, das gut war, aber nichts Aussergewöhnliches. Das Servicepersonal ist freundlich. Das Kurhaus Cademario war vollständig ausgebucht und wir erhielten trotz früher Reservation nur einen schlechten Platz, ohne Aussicht, ohne Fenster. Die 4 Gänge haben sich sehr lange hingezogen und wenn man nur die Gäste gegenüber anschauen kann, ist das nicht sehr attraktiv. Brot wurde grosszügig nachgereicht. Der Preis für dieses 4 Gang Menü ist mit CHF 78. an der oberen Grenze. Es gab: Geräucherte Schweinelende mit gemischten Gemüse und Senf Orangen Dressing Plin Ravioli mit Castelmagno Käse auf Spargelcreme und getrockneten Tomstenpesto Gebratenes Hähnchen mit Foyot Sauce, Kartoffeln und Tomaten nach mediterraner Art Karottenkuchen mit Haselnüssen In der Agra Bar assen wir a la carte. Hier bekamen wir einen angenehmeren Tisch mit Aussicht. Das Essen ist gut und es hat genügend Servicepersonal.

Abendessen am ersten Abend war top, sehr lecker gekocht; am zweiten Abend mit anderem Menü nicht mehr ganz so lecker, aber immer noch empfehlenswert. Wunderbarer Blick, gute Weinkarte, freundlicher Service.
