This little gem is incredibly good. Owner is extremely friendly and very easy to communicate with in English. They have an English menu as well. We tried several small dishes and basically loved them all. My personal recommendation would most certainly be the succulent grilled octopus.
Imagine. Its time for supper and you are strolling through the narrow streets. You arrive at the small courtyard Plaza Santiago, to see two dozen tables laid out in front of the small restaurant doorway. It's a warm evening and the owner, Alvaro, sits on a stool outside, patiently waiting for his customers. You take a seat, the high wall of a ancient church towering above you, storks nesting on its roof and swallows criss-crossing the sky. Alvaro interprets his blackboard menu and we are served with delicate amuse-bouches of anchovy fillet on tiny bread slices, two main courses , one of anchovy fillets (home cured) ,tomato slices and chopped chilis, the other of iberico pork with rice and home made chutney, washed down with a local dry white wine he recommends. Then his homemade brownies with ice cream arrive, followed by coffee with complimentary coffee liqueurs. For us this delightfully simple , modestly priced and personally presented meal, in an atmospheric location was one of the most memorable meals we have ever had. Plaza Santiago is not that hard to find.We think you' ll love it!
Excelente servicio y comida.
Esperamos volver
