First things first.... We had the privilege of being sat in Rafael Silvia's section at Don Luis twice. He goes above and beyond to say the least to ensure that your every need is met. If something wasn't exactly what you want, he immediately insisted on something else. The food was great, but the service!
Tengo una membresía de tiempo compartido en Grand Solmar, pero suelo comer fuera del sitio. Una noche decidí quedarme y me alegré de haberlo hecho. Pedí una variación de surf and turf..chuletas de cordero y lubina y estaba perfectamente preparado. Venía con verduras asadas, una bandeja de aperitivos de steak y tartar de atún, ensalada de remolacha y vieiras ensartadas. El postre estaba incluido y tomé una copa de vino y dos aguas con gas. ¡Mi cuenta fue de solo unos $60! ¡Esta fue definitivamente una experiencia gastronómica de 5 estrellas sin el precio elevado.
J. Carlos was our server and he was AMAZING!! Super friendly and gave great advice about menu and wine. Would highly recommend him! You cannot beat the views of the Pacific or the smell of the outdoor grill!
We are owners at Grand Solmar, we always eat at the restaurants on site. Don Luis is one of the best.. They have different theme nights so the menu is never the same. Ignacio is the manager and he does a great job of making you feel welcome and well cared for. Juan Carlos and Gabriel are both excellent waiters and are attentive to your every need. It is nice to see the same faces year after year when we come. This visit we ate at Don Luis at least 4 times as well as attended the Mexican Fiesta.
