5 Lakes Brew Pub - Byron Center

I recently dined at this restaurant, which is set to relocate to the TANGER OUTLET MALL area soon. It was a quick and convenient sit-down meal during the dinner rush on a weekend night. The staff was friendly and attentive, always available when needed. The food was quite tasty, and the cherry cider was especially delicious. I definitely recommend this place!

A brewery without a brewer? Interesting. There aren't many beer selections to choose from. A trivia night without music? The entertainment options are limited as well. However, the food is good and reasonably priced!

Terrible food! The chef seems to have only mastered using a microwave. Stay away from this place unless you're in need of a colon cleanse!

I will say this, the burger was cooked to perfection. I have been to 5 Lakes multiple times and had great experiences. However, with them moving locations they seem very disorganized, I understand they are busy, but they need to be more open with their customers. They only had two beers on tab, and no domestic or foreign beers to make up for that. All I ask is that you share that with the community and let them know you have a limited menu. I will be back and hope to have a better time then this last time.

Love this menu! Such an innovative take on down home cooking with the uncommon appetizers like gizzards and fried pickles. Solid vegetarian options with black bean burgers and vegetable-based apps and pizza. most everything comes in around $12, which is a good price for a local restaurant. The beer was tasty, too. All ales when I stopped in early August.
