Tao's Chinese - Bury

The food at this restaurant was edible, but it was clearly precooked and reheated in the microwave. I ordered four meals, including starters, rice, noodles, and salt and pepper chips, and they all came out at the same time in less than 5 minutes. When I walked past the kitchen and saw only one chef wearing a hoodie and body warmer using a microwave, I was disappointed. I chose not to complain at the time to avoid ruining our family celebration and out of respect for the other diners. However, I called back later and spoke to the manager, who insisted that everything was cooked fresh from scratch and that they had special gas for faster cooking, as well as three chefs in the kitchen. It seemed unlikely that dishes like chicken, ribs, beef, and chips could be cooked so quickly and I was not convinced. The side orders of rice and noodles may have been pre-made, but the high prices did not reflect the quality of the food. Additionally, the staff seemed to try and trick customers when it came to ordering drinks. One of my guests ordered an amaretto and coke, and the waitress said it was £8 for a single or £10 for a double. When the bill arrived, it showed only £5 for the single drink, suggesting that the staff were trained to manipulate guests into spending more money. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the poor value for money, service, and forgettable food at this restaurant and I would not consider returning, even if the meal was free. I recommend avoiding this establishment altogether.

We discovered this restaurant while visiting Osma and we are so glad we did. The prices were very reasonable and we opted for the set meal for 2. We didn't need to make any changes as all the dishes were delicious and piping hot. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely and the staff were excellent - very friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning. Even though I'm not a fan of sweet and sour dishes, I couldn't stop eating it. We were initially going to change that dish, but we are so glad we didn't.

Today we visited this restaurant for my 66th birthday and I must say I am puzzled by the negative reviews. The place was clean, had a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They even offered containers for us to take home leftovers. The food was delicious and served hot. We will definitely be coming back. If you want to experience the complete opposite, try TCB Bury. The negative comments about Taos will surely change once they see the nightmare that TCB Bury is.

Booked to go Saturday night, not busy yet i ordered a chicken ginger spring onions, no ginger to be seen ,beef dish lwarm , rice went back it was cold disappointing meal .no complimentary prawn crackers any more or no after eights or mints with the bill

Worst food iv ever had , avoid , greasy, bland and not fresh and had a vile taste , ill never order again
