Absolutely excellent service food was gorgeous I had lamb dansak hubby had lamb madras, lamb was done beautifully, bhaji and simosa were gorgeous with salad, sadly we couldn't manage desert but they looked delicious, will definitely be back

I have been going to The Jewel for the last 13 years but for some reason I'm only just writing a review! What a great place is it, it's a family run business, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. We always enjoy the food every time we go, it's delicious. We decided to visit this restaurant last minute after hearing good things about it and being new to the area. Despite not having a reservation, they were able to accommodate us. Our first impressions were very positive - the atmosphere was warm and hospitable, giving off an old school curry house vibe. It had been a while since I had such a pleasant dining experience. The service was impeccable from start to finish - they took my coat, made sure we were comfortable, offered us drinks, checked on us regularly, and even gave us a complimentary drink at the end. The food was delicious with no issues at all. I cannot find fault with this place at all. We will definitely be returning as it is the best restaurant we have been to in a long time. Higher-end restaurants should take note of their exceptional customer service.
