Contribuiți la feedbackMy first visit to Duke William in a long time, and I was not disappointed. Four of us went for lunch to celebrate a friend's birthday, and we were all pleased with our food choices. Two of us tried the cheese and onion pie, which was amazing - the best we've had in a long time, and the chips were delicious too. Another friend had the gammon, which looked and tasted like a steak from the butcher, and our final companion had the sausage sandwich, which was also delicious. Only two of us had room for dessert, but both were delicious. The pub has a lovely atmosphere. I will definitely visit again.
This is one of my favorite dining spots where I enjoy relaxing with a glass of wine and solving crossword puzzles. The food is consistently excellent, prepared by skilled chefs. I never have to add seasoning to anything that Nick prepares, which is impressive considering I am a retired Home Economist. I appreciate his creative flair, like the delicious goat curry I tried recently. The prices are reasonable, especially considering everything is made from scratch. As a widow, I truly appreciate the warm welcome I always receive from the staff. Thank you, Diane.
I am sorry to have to write this, but my experience at this restaurant on Sunday was very disappointing. We were not informed that we needed to ask about the Sunday lunch menu, and the chicken supreme was already off the menu by 1:00. We ended up ordering starters and the chicken and chorizo pie based on a recommendation from the staff. However, as I started eating my meal, I found a piece of chicken skin with feathers still attached, as well as a knuckle end of a drumstick in the fish pie. When I showed this to the waitress, she apologized and the chef later admitted the mistake. Despite this, there was no apology from the management and the meal ended up costing over £60 for three people. I was very disappointed and ended up going home to make my own meal. Overall, I was left feeling very frustrated with the experience.
Too notch service, the food was absolutely delicious, I had Caribbean, Jamaican Goat curry, and it was so nice, full of flavour, the goat melted in your mouth, absolutely delicious, great bar staff today who really looked after a couple next to us celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, Sam and Lewis went above and beyond to make sure they had an amazing night , it was lovely to see how special they made the night for them , All the staff where amazingly , always checking tables to make sure every one had drinks, no tables left with plates on them .. absolutely service all the time .
Father in law is a regular at lunch times, so this lovely pub came recommended. Great place for multi generation meal. Great tasting food nice and hot when served. Large fish and chips pronounced delicious by teen son, and even and even filled him up (he's taller than me). Service above and beyond, so huge thanks to the team.
