Taste Of Shanghai Burwood

The menu featured all the usual favorites, and the dumplings were particularly enjoyable. We decided to try the Steamed Pork and Chives Dumplings, Shanghai Style Steamed Sticky Rice Dumplings, and Black Truffle Xiao Long Bao. The dumpling skins were delicate and expertly made, while the fillings for all three were delicious. The Kung Pao Chicken was packed with flavor and had a nice touch of chili spice. Additionally, the Wok Fried Rice Cakes offered chewy, tasty bites combined with pork and cabbage.

Always incredible and delicious food! Great prices as well and great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Similar to a previous review, the restaurant did not receive our reservation through Zomato, but they were very gracious in accommodating us (we were fortunate to get a table at 12:30 on a Sunday!). The food was decent and of good quality, just like at all Taste of Shanghai locations; however, the wait for our food was a bit longer than expected.

Above average Chinese food and solid atmosphere and architecture of restaurant. However, Chinese is an inferior cuisine compared to other Asian cuisines like Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Malaysian etc...

I made a booking through Zomato but the staff at the restaurant did not get notice of this hence, I recommend calling up the restaurant to ensure your booking goes through. However, the staff that served me at the door was sympathetic and understood my situation and gave me the next available table. I did not get her name but she delivered great customer service! In fact all staff that I encountered at this restaurant have always been pleasant and approachable <br/ <br/ I came here on a Friday at 8pm and it was still packed so it is recommended to book on a weekend. This is also my third visit here and they have always been up to par and never disappoint. <br/ <br/ I ordered the xiao long bao dumplings, pan fried pork buns, prawn noodles with xo sauce and the coloured dumplings (I think this is a cny limited time special). The dumplings were all fresh and delicious
